Knoxville Chamber Chorale to Present 2011 Spring Concert

KNOXVILLE -- The Knoxville Choral Society will present the spring concert of the Knoxville Chamber Chorale on Sunday, April 3rd, 3:00 p.m. at St. John's Cathedral, 413 Cumberland Ave.

The Knoxville Chamber Chorale is a group of singers auditioned from within the Knoxville Choral Society ranks that specializes in vocal works for chamber settings.

The primarily a cappella program features Mozart's "Regina Coeli," early works by Palestrina and Lotti and contemporary works by Barnum, Stroope and Hogan.

Tickets are $10 and are available at the door; admission is free for donors to the Knoxville Choral Society. Following the concert will be a reception in the church's Great Hall for all donors.

The Knoxville Chamber Chorale is conducted by Bill Brewer and accompanied by Danny Brian.

The event is sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission and WUOT 91.9 FM.
