TTU Nursing Student from Knox County Wins Award

COOKEVILLE -— A Tennessee Tech University student from Knox County is the recipient of a nursing award from the university.

Kathryn Forbes, a 2009 graduate of Knoxville Catholic High School and a sophomore TTU nursing major, is this year's recipient of the Theodore R. and Bonnie R. Deur Endowed Scholarship.

Forbes is the daughter of Martha and Steve Forbes of Norris. Forbes has also been on the Dean's list, gold star list and silver star list.

Forbes says her plan following her graduation from TTU is to continue school and earn a master's degree for nurse practitioner in pediatrics.
