KNOXVILLE -- Carter High School's Career and Technical department went Pink on Friday October 21st to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the global leader of the breast cancer movement.

The school's cosmetology, HOSA and JAG classes provided salon services and a survivors luncheon for those attending. They had 50 clients in the salon and 20 breast cancer guests.

The students participated in a Beat Cancer car bash and Corn Hole games.

Altogether, the students raised over $275 in 1 hour.

They are continuing the car bash and corn hole this week and plan to raise even more money for their final contribution which they hope will be $2,000.
