The Arts & Culture Alliance is delighted to announce the 7th annual Emporium Holiday Extravaganza on December 3 & 4: a two-day celebration featuring handmade gifts, live performances, and holiday cheer in downtown Knoxville! The Arts & Culture Alliance ignites Knoxville's holiday spirit by hosting an enticing array of unique holiday gifts from nearly 30 local artists and museum gift shops as well as current works by many of Knoxville's finest performing arts groups. As always, admission is free!

The Alliance invites the public and downtown workers to wait for the WIVK Santa Claus Parade by browsing the merchandise of local artists on Friday, December 4, beginning at 11:00 AM. Handmade gifts include: pure silver and sterling jewelry, chainmaille, natural gemstone and freshwater pearl jewelry, functional and sculptural ceramics and serving dishes, mixed media pieces, art glass mosaics, ornaments, regional books, paintings, drawings, pet portraits, prints, note cards, and more! The Extravaganza continues until 9:00 PM as part of First Friday with holiday entertainment including the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra string quartet, the Knoxville Opera, the Knoxville Chamber Chorale, the Knoxville Children's Choir, Circle Modern Dance, and Smoky Mountain Harmony Show Chorus. On Saturday, December 6, from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, the Emporium Center again hosts a variety of festive activities. Enjoy free lunch on Friday and Saturday with a $10 Extravaganza purchase! View a list of participating artists at www.knoxalliance.com

The Alliance will also sell Culture Cash: cash-equivalent certificates redeemable with most of Knoxville's arts and culture organizations. Culture Cash is a unique gift that supports the work of local artists and arts and cultural organizations.

The Emporium Holiday Extravaganza takes place at the Emporium Center, 100 S. Gay Street (corner of Gay/Jackson). Extravaganza hours are Friday, December 3, 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM and Saturday, December 4, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
