Tennessee Artists' Association Awards Scholarship

The Tennessee Artists' Association has awarded a $500.00 scholarship to Kylie Katelyn Patterson, a senior at Gatlinburg-Pittman High School, for the 2026-27 academic year. Patterson is an active student leader, artist and writer and intends to study at the East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, with a major in graphic design and minor in marketing and digital media.

Patterson has been active in numerous school organizations and extracurricular opportunities, including Girl Scouts (Gold Award Winner), the Presidential Service Award, and numerous service and volunteer activities; she has attended UTK’s High School Art Academy, Arrowmont School of Craft, and the Tennessee Arts Academy at MTSU; she has participated in National Honor Society, the Tennessee Valley Fair and the Governor’s School; Kylie is active in a variety of community, service and school causes and as a result, she received the Sevier County Youth Governor’s Volunteer Star.
