KNOXVILLE -- The 2023-24 season of Broadway at the Tennessee presented by Greater Knoxville Honda Dealers includes WICKED and five other Tennessee Theatre premieres

New subscription packages go on sale June 19.

The excitement, emotion and energy of Broadway reaches new heights at the Tennessee Theatre with a 2023-24 lineup poised to entertain and delight. With six titles and a total of 56 performances, the complete lineup of the upcoming season of Broadway at the Tennessee Theatre is presented by Greater Knoxville Honda Dealers and includes:

• SIX – Oct. 31-Nov. 5, 2023 (8 performances)
• JAGGED LITTLE PILL – Dec. 5-10, 2023 (8 performances)
• WICKED – Jan. 10-21, 2024 (16 performances)
• HADESTOWN – March 5-10, 2024 (8 performances)
• HARPER LEE’S TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD – April 2-7, 2024 (8 performances)
• BEETLEJUICE – June 11-16, 2024 (8 performances)

“We are so excited to announce the 2023-2024 season of Broadway at the Tennessee,” Tennessee Theatre Executive Director Becky Hancock said. “Coming off the heels of the biggest Broadway season we’ve ever had, this next season is sure to keep the bar high. Having announced WICKED previously, we are delighted to finally share the rest of the titles that will round out the season, one that features all six shows in their Tennessee Theatre premiere. We look forward to once again entertaining tens of thousands of returning and new patrons at the Official State Theatre of Tennessee.”

Existing subscribers of the Broadway at the Tennessee presented by Greater Knoxville Honda Dealers series will have renewal periods based upon their subscription type, providing the opportunity to renew and secure their season tickets before new subscriptions and single-show tickets go on sale.

Starting June 19, subscription packages go on sale to the public. Subscriber benefits include first notification of season lineups, the opportunity to purchase tickets to individual shows before the general public, reduced ticket fees and the best available prices of the season, and the ability to renew the subscription for the 2023-2024 season.

The 2023-2024 season of Broadway at the Tennessee presented by Greater Knoxville Honda Dealers features a diverse lineup of stories set to come to life on the stage of the Historic Tennessee Theatre for the first time. Each show in the upcoming series will make its Knoxville premiere.

SIX includes eight performances from Oct. 31-Nov. 5, 2023. JAGGED LITTLE PILL includes eight performances from Dec. 5-10, 2023. Joy, love, heartache, strength, wisdom, catharsis, LIFE – everything we’ve been waiting to see in a Broadway show – is here in the exhilarating, fearless new musical based on Alanis Morissette’s world-changing music. Directed by Tony Award® winner Diane Paulus (Waitress, Pippin, 1776) with a Tony Award®-winning book by Diablo Cody (Juno) and Grammy Award®-winning score, this electrifying production about a perfectly imperfect American family “vaults the audience to its collective feet.” (The Guardian).

WICKED includes 16 performances from Jan. 10-21, 2024. The Broadway sensation WICKED looks at what happened in the Land of Oz ... but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin, who is smart, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships ... until the world decides to call one “good” and the other one “wicked.”

HADESTOWN includes 8 performances from March 5-10, 2024. Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, and the 2020 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theater Album, this acclaimed new show from celebrated singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and innovative director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) is a love story for today … and always. BEETLEJUICE includes eight performances from June 11-16, 2024. It’s showtime! Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. With an irreverent book, an astonishing set and a score that’s out of this Netherworld, BEETLEJUICE is “screamingly good fun!” (Variety). And under its uproarious surface, (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love and making the most of every ‘Day-O!’
