East Tennessee corn mazes and pumpkin patches bring Fall fun

Think Fall is just for leaf watchers? Think again! East Tennessee farms serve up some great entertainment for people of all ages. Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hayrides, petting zoos, and farm markets offer fun for everyone. Check out these fun farms in the East Tennessee area.

Ballinger Farm - opens Friday, September 18, 2020
2738 Renfro Rd, Jefferson City, TN 37760

This maze isn’t for the faint of heart and is certainly fun to navigate. It’s no fun unless you get lost! Use your smartphone to help find your way out! You can even scan QR codes and play trivia to get you on the right path!

Beck Mountain Corn Maze - opens Friday, October 5, 2020
110 Corn Maze Lane, Elizabethton, TN 37643

General admission includes the regular daytime maze, the petting zoo, the playground area, the fire pit area, and the hay bale bull roping area. A general store serves up homemade BBQ and hot dogs.

Birchland Ocoee Farms - Opens September 26, 2020

Birchland Ocoee Farms is "Home of the River Maze". Let Freedom Ring! America, the Beautiful, the 2020 corn maze, features an outline of the United States. Inside are paths for 10 major rivers in the USA. You can also see one of the historical icons of America, the Liberty Bell, in the design. Also included are educational signs about beautiful landmarks in the United States at the passport posts in the maze. There are 10 spots where you see numbered posts. Guests carry a trivia passport on a topic of their choice and a correct answer gives a clue about which way to turn. But this year, you can play on your smartphone or create your own trivia card.

Echo Valley Corn Maze - Opens September 14, 2020

Echo Valley Corn Maze features 3 large corn mazes, a kid maze, hayrides, zip line, pumpkin picking, and corn shucking. A Discovery Barn has a petting zoo, two 60 ft tunnel slides, and a loft hay play area. A picnic area has grills available, and an evening bonfire tops off the evening. Refreshments are available.

Hartman's Corn Maze

The Hartman’s Corn Maze will have a strong Tusculum University theme this fall. The corn maze, located in nearby Mosheim, has been designed utilizing the Tusculum Athletics logo with the Pioneer Head and “Tusculum” at the center of the unique outdoor experience located in Western Greene County. The corn maze and hayride will run weekly, Thursday through Sunday from September 11 until October 31. The haunted maze and haunted hayride, along with zombie paintball hunting.

Have fun running through the acre-sized hay bale maze! Perfect for younger navigators. Let your little one take a tour of the farm grounds on a train of kiddy-sized saddles! Learn more about how farms work to get food on your table by helping with an interactive farm and barnyard experience. Climb up into the hayloft and slide down into the hay bales. Try the Old McDonald Farm’s take on cornhole, horseshoes, and pumpkin checkers. Myers Farm - Opens September 19

Myers Farm features a corn maze, pumpkin patch, greenhouses, hayrides, and a farm market. Thousands of pumpkins, gourds, and squash decorate the Pumpkin Patch. East Tennessee's largest, most interactive corn maze. The market sells homemade pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread and other tasty items, including fudge. In the evening, roast hot dogs and marshmallows and s'mores over an open fire.

Oakes Farm - opens October 1, 2020

The way this maze is designed, you can spend as much, or as little, time as you like in the maze. If you’re up for finding all the checkpoints, and solving the Farm Scene Investigation, allow 1 to 1 1/2 hours. But if you’ve got little kids, with a shorter attention span, for instance…find as many checkpoints as you can, then when they get tired, you can leave the maze, and come back later if you like.

Stickley Farm - Opens October 2, 2020

The corn maze at Stickley Farm this year will feature the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
