The Knoxville Museum of Art introduces Lori Calvert as its new Director of Development. Calvert joins the KMA after serving as Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and UT Graduate School of Medicine since 2015. At UTMC, she served as the organization’s strategic leader for donor relations, stewardship, advancement-related communications, and special event programs. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Development Programs at the University of Tennessee Foundation.
“We are delighted to have Lori with us to oversee the museum’s fundraising efforts,” said KMA Executive Director David Butler. “She has many years of development experience, understands the local philanthropic landscape, and will be a tremendous asset to the KMA.”
Calvert graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications accompanied by an Art Minor. Her leadership training includes Managers Employee Coaching & Training Program, Sandler Management Solutions, Rising Leaders Training Program, Women in Cable Television, and The Executive Development Seminar, Women in Cable Television.
The Knoxville Museum of Art celebrates the art and artists of East Tennessee, presents new art and new ideas, serves and educates diverse audiences, and enhances Knoxville’s quality of life. The museum is located in downtown Knoxville at 1050 World’s Fair Park and is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday 10 am–5 pm, and Sunday 1 pm-5 pm. Admission and parking are free.
