NASHVILLE, TN – Pathway Lending has promoted Keith Hickey to senior vice president and director of banking relations. In this new role, Hickey will serve as the primary contact for Pathway’s bank partners and stakeholders throughout the state. As a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Pathway Lending partners with financial institutions to provide capital opportunities to small businesses that may not qualify for traditional banking options.

Hickey joined Pathway Lending in 2018 and has held various leadership positions during his tenure, based out of the Knoxville office. With over three decades of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. Hickey is a graduate of The Stonier School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania, in partnership with The Wharton Business School. He now serves as a faculty member at the school.

“My experience with Pathway Lending has been truly rewarding,” said Hickey. “I am honored and excited to embrace this new opportunity, allowing me to continue serving our clients and bank partners to fulfill our mission at Pathway.”

These strategic partnerships across the state are pivotal to expanding lending across Pathway's target markets, including qualified investment areas, African American borrowers and low-income targeted populations. For 25 years, Pathway Lending has strategically collaborated with area banks to support their clients through alternative funding sources and provide business coaching to help them become capital ready.

“This role is instrumental in advancing Pathway Lending’s mission to support small businesses and foster economic development,” says Pathway Lending president and CEO Clint Gwin. “I am confident that with Keith’s leadership, our partnerships with financial institutions will grow stronger, enabling us to better serve the small businesses that are the backbone of our communities.”

Bank partners interested in learning how they can work with Pathway Lending can contact Keith at keith.hickey@pathwaylending.org.
