M&M Productions USA adds Clegg as Director of Operations

KNOXVILLE - M&M Productions USA has hired Gary Clegg as director of operations for the full-service event planning and production company based in Oak Ridge that serves clients across the country.

“Gary’s extensive hands-on experience at all levels of production, his industry knowledge and leadership in shaping strategy made him the perfect candidate to fill this role” said Mike Brown, president and CEO of M&M Productions USA. “I was impressed by Greg’s expansive skillset and creative approach to productions of all sizes. Having him as a part of our team will further our mission of providing expert planning and execution for our clients.”

Clegg, a U.S. Navy veteran, has decades of experience within the audiovisual fields. He previously served as director of technology for a multi-campus non-denominational church. Clegg also is the director and co-owner of The Sound Guyz and serves as a campus instructor for audio, lighting and video classes at Pinellas Technical College in Clearwater, Florida.

As M&M Productions USA’s director of operations, Clegg will serve as the on-site contact at events. His responsibilities include managing all aspects of in-house inventory and anticipation of future needs; cross-rentals of equipment as needed; hiring and scheduling of crews; process management; and job cost tracking and analysis.

Clegg grew up in Massachusetts and served as a nuclear submarine sonar operator and culinary specialist in the U.S. Navy before entering the event production industry in 1988. Clegg has recently relocated to Knoxville with his wife, Debi, a cosmetologist for the last 30 years. They have one son, Mason, who currently resides in Riverview, Florida. In his spare time, Clegg enjoys cooking, camping, graphic design, photography and spending time with family and friends.

Maintaining Tennessee offices in Knoxville and Chattanooga with an office in Rochester, Minnesota, M&M productions has provided services multiple times to the White House Communications Agency (WHCA). M&M also serves as the in-house provider for audiovisual, lighting, stage design and event production at the Knoxville Convention Center and is the exclusive rigging support for the Chattanooga Convention Center.
