Knoxville native John Ley joins FirstBank

KNOXVILLE -- Lifelong Knoxville resident John Ley has joined FirstBank, the third largest Tennessee-headquartered bank, as Senior Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager. Ley will be responsible for leading commercial banking services throughout the Knoxville market.

“Ley has dedicated his career to serving the financial needs of the Knoxville community,” said Brent Ball, FirstBank’s Market President. “His extensive experience and steadfast leadership will be an asset to FirstBank and our clients.”







Ley graduated from the University of Tennessee making him a “Vol for Life”. He has lived in Knoxville for 40 years and has worked within the banking industry for more than two decades.

“I look forward to furthering FirstBank’s commitment to community banking centered around local decision making and meeting the unique needs of our clients,” said Ley. “FirstBank’s approach will allow me to more effectively partner with clients to help Knoxville’s families and companies achieve their financial goals.”

Beyond his role in banking, Ley is committed to community work including supporting and serving with Alzheimer’s TN Inc., the East TN Foundation Affordable Housing Trust Fund Committee, Goodwill Industries of Greater Knoxville, Knoxville Volunteer Rotary Club, Leadership Knoxville Class of 2022 and the Sertoma Center.







Ley currently resides in Knoxville with his wife and three sons. Ley enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his sons’ sports teams, traveling, and, of course, cheering on the Vols.
