Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota donates to Ut Medical Center’s Cancer Institute

KNOXVILLE - Representatives from Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota presented a donation to the Cancer Institute at The University of Tennessee Medical Center on Friday, April 30. The presentation took place with Dr. John L. Bell at Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota. UT Medical Center’s Mobile Mammography Unit was onsite at the dealership to provide mammograms.

Over the last five years, Rick McGill’s Toyota has donated a total of $50,000 to UT Medical Center’s Cancer Institute to support breast cancer research and outreach. This year’s donation for $10,000 will once again benefit the Breast Health Outreach Program, which provides screenings and education to women in East Tennessee.

Supporting breast cancer research and outreach is a priority for Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota. “We all know someone who has been affected by cancer, so we are honored to make a contribution towards fighting cancer in East Tennessee with the help of Toyota USA and our customers,” said Peter Renzulli, Sales Manager.

The Breast Health Outreach Program is a unique grant-funded program that provides essential breast health services in 21 East Tennessee counties. In addition to providing mobile mammography, free breast health educational classes are offered on-site to businesses, churches, and other convenient community locations throughout the region. These classes focus on the importance of early detection including screening guideline updates and warning signs of breast cancer.

We know these services improve the quality of and saves the lives of women throughout our region.”
