In his new role, Hopkins will be responsible for working with existing business customers and helping develop new relationships in the East Tennessee community.

“Josh has extensive experience in commercial banking and his customer-first mentality will be a valuable asset to growing our presence in East Tennessee,” said Brent Ball, Knoxville Market President. “He’s a lifelong Knoxville resident, and his commitment to this community will continue to help our customers build better futures.”

Prior to joining FirstBank, Hopkins held a variety of leadership positions with several regional banks, including roles as senior vice president of lending, director of client services and senior business services loan officer. He has been recognized as a top loan originator, managing multimillion-dollar loan portfolios.

“I’m excited to join the FirstBank team and continue to build relationships in the community where I’ve spent my entire life,” Hopkins said. “FirstBank is truly dedicated to helping its customers meet their financial goals, and I look forward to helping expand our footprint in East Tennessee.”

Hopkins graduated from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science degree in education and is a graduate of the Southeastern School of Advanced Commercial Lending in Nashville.

He is a board member of March of Dimes and a committee member of the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Ted Hall and Phil Williams Charity Golf Tournament. Hopkins is also a past co-chair of the March of Dimes Commercial Real Estate Industry Awards Breakfast.

In his free time, Hopkins enjoys playing tennis and golf, going to UT sporting events and spending time with his family.

Nashville-based FirstBank, a wholly owned subsidiary of FB Financial Corporation (NYSE: FBK), is the third largest Tennessee-headquartered bank, with 87 full-service bank branches across Tennessee, South Central Kentucky, North Alabama and North Georgia, and a national mortgage business with offices across the Southeast.
