NASHVILLE, TN – The Capitol Strategy Group Co-Founder Kim Adkins announced today that Ryan Peebles will join as co-owner. Peebles is a veteran government affairs executive with both state and national legislative experience.

The Capitol Strategy Group LLC is a prominent Nashville-based lobbying firm with clients ranging from the technology sector, transportation and infrastructure firms, corporations, and professional trade organizations. Former Knoxville Republican State Representative Steve Buttry will provide government relations services.

Peebles is respected by leaders and elected officials across the country, with more than 25 years of governmental affairs experience in both the public and private sector. He will focus on local, state, and federal issues. Peebles previously served as the Director of Government Affairs for National Seating & Mobility (NSM) and as President of the Greater Tennessee Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.

“The Capitol Strategy Group has a tremendous reputation and I’m ready to be a part of something special working alongside partner Kim Adkins and legislative director Steve Buttry to represent the interests of our clients,” Peebles said.

“We are excited to have Ryan join our firm. His background and track record of success in business development, healthcare policy, association management and government relations are the perfect match,” said Kim Adkins. “He understands the inner-workings of government and has established longstanding relationships across this state and nation.”

“Kim and I have worked together for years serving many of the same clients. We are looking forward to having Ryan join with us,” said Steve Buttry.

Peebles previously worked as a Senior Legislative Aide in the U.S. Senate for Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (MS) and Republican Whip Senator Jon Kyl (AZ). Peebles resume also includes work representing global technology companies for the Information Technology Industry Council and the nation’s largest small business trade association, National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
