KNOXVILLE - Duncan School of Law student and community activist, Daniel Herrera, has launched a new community initiative to support small businesses all-around Knox County. The initiative aims to support businesses by inviting residents to meet for lunch at restaurants to push for community growth.
“The plan is to meet at least once a month for lunch at a small business here in Knox County to help them grow and to give back to our community,” Herrera said. “This is just a fun and easy way for us to support one another and to enjoy the incredible food Knox County has to offer.”
The first lunch date is set for Saturday, January 19th, from 12PM to 1PM at Nick & J’s Café located at 1526 Lovell Rd. in Knoxville. The event page already has nearly 50 responses in less than 24 hours of it being posted online.
