InfoSystems Wins Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce 2012 Small Business Award

CHATTANOOGA, Tn. – InfoSystems, one of the fastest-growing information technology, communications and software solutions providers in the Southeast, received the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce 2012 Small Business Award for companies with 51-200 employees.

"I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it's all about our people," commented InfoSystems President and CEO, Clay Hales. "Without the passion, dedication and talent of our team, we couldn't have accomplished all that we have during the past few years."

InfoSystems' first quarter has been full of awards and recognition:

• January saw the announcement of a record year of achievements with revenue exceeding 35 million dollars in 2011. This represented a 20 percent growth over 2010, which was the second best year since the company's launch in 1994.
• In February, InfoSystems was named to CRN's second annual list of the Tech Elite 250. Companies on the 2012 Tech Elite 250 list represent an elite group of IT Solutions Providers that have invested in the training and education needed to earn the most technical certifications in the IT channel.
• In March, IBM recognized InfoSystems with the prestigious North American Mid-Market Leadership Award for 2011 Performance.

The award recognizes IBM Business Partners who demonstrate the most impressive year-to-year growth in the small to medium-size business (SMB) market, and who offer innovative business solutions. InfoSystems saw double-digit growth in the SMB market and was one of five IBM Business Partners in North America selected for this award.

To qualify for a Small Business Award, companies must have owned and operated a business in the Chattanooga MSA for a minimum of three years, have shown exemplary success within their industry and have displayed a high level of community involvement and corporate citizenship. Candidates for the awards come from the Chattanooga Chamber membership. The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce recognized three small businesses and one nonprofit organization for entrepreneurial excellence on March 21 during the 2012 Small Business Awards Breakfast at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

"America bootstrapped itself up from being a colonial backwater to become the world's superpower because our economic system rewards those who align their efforts with the marketplace as it actually exists at any given time," said Tom Edd Wilson, president and CEO of the Chattanooga Chamber. "Successful small businesses continue to be one of the best examples of that principle in action."

During the economic downturn, InfoSystems continued to grow by investing in employees and taking a more aggressive approach to marketing. In addition to boosting 2011 annual revenues by 20 percent over the previous year, InfoSystems demonstrated consistent and significant growth in profits, community engagement and reach into a substantial portion of the Southeast including Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta and recently, Puerto Rico.

Since 1994, InfoSystems continues to be one of the fastest-growing IT solution providers for enterprise and small to medium-sized businesses in the Southeast, with a unique business-first approach focused on technology optimization and return on investment. Major areas of expertise encompass data management, hardware, software and communications, and are backed by certifications in data storage, virtualization, cloud, server infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery, network security, software development, voice service and unified communications.
