Three Companies Located in Tennessee named in "100 Best Companies to Work For"

Fortune magazine has named the "100 Best Companies to Work For," and 3 of them are either headquartered in Tennessee or have locations throughout the state.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Darden Restaurants, and Starbucks are among those listed by Fortune.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was named a top company because staff members of the enjoy perks like organic vegetables from an on-site garden and up to $3,600 in tuition reimbursement.

Darden Restaurants, the operator of casual dining restaurants (Olive Garden and Red Lobster) offers a benefit rare for its field: health insurance for part-timers. Darden is headquartered in Orlando, FL but has restaurant locations in Tennessee.

Starbucks, headquartered in Seattle, WA, has many locations in Tennessee. It was a bounce-back year for the coffee giant, but CEO Howard Schultz refused investor pressure to dial back on health care costs.
