Would you like to help a senior OUT? CAC's Office on Aging is seeking volunteer drivers for their Volunteer Assisted Transportation program. Volunteers will utilize agency-owned hybrid sedans or wheelchair accessible minivans while accompanying seniors or persons with disabilities to appointments, shopping, and other errands. Training is provided, to include AAA East Tennessee Driver Improvement, American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification, and passenger assistance techniques - fees are paid by the agency. Volunteers Needed for Bike Patrol in Cataloochee Valley
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is seeking volunteers to assist rangers
during the increased fall visitation period in Cataloochee Valley, N.C.
from mid-September until October 31st. Volunteers will work as a part of a
bike patrol program within the Valley and will assist the Park by providing
traffic control and visitor information and other assistance as needed.
