YWCA Holds Annual Kickball Event
KNOXVILLE -- The Knoxville YWCA is hosting its annual kickball tournament on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.
This event is a charity event to help raise money for the YWCA's Transitional Housing Program. The kickball tournament will be held at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens. The cost is $50 per team.
Games will begin at 5:30 p.m.
"This is a great event because it brings everyone together to raise money for a good cause," Danielle Benson, Fund Development Director, said. "It's fun and competitive at the same time."
The YWCA's Transitional Housing Program offers 58 women a place to stay and allows them the opportunity to foster responsibility and independence. The Transitional Housing Program is open for women of all ages and backgrounds.
