Scots enter weekend as No. 1 seed in three GSAC Championships

MARYVILLE -- Three Maryville College athletic teams will be entering the weekend as the No.1 seed in a variety of Great South Athletic Conference tournaments hosted by LaGrange College and Piedmont College.

Coach Kandis Schram's volleyball team will travel to Demorest, Georgia to challenge for their 9th league title following a 24-7 (8-0 GSAC) regular season.

Coach Pepe Fernandez will take his men and women soccer programs to LaGrange, Georgia. His men's team finished the regular season 12-4-2 with a perfect 3-0 mark in league play. The women also won a dozen games going 12-3-2 with a 7-0 result against league opponents. The men are in search of their 7th league crown while the women, who possess a 116 match unbeaten streak in GSAC challenges, hope to attain their 10th league title.
