Edmiston Has Record Day for Lady Scot Golfers

MARYVILLE, TN -- Maryville College junior and Maryville High School grad Sarah Edmiston had a record tying day on the links in round two of the Piedmont Fall Invitational.

Edmiston got off to a great start with a three over par 39 on her front nine which included a double bogey six on the ninth hole. She struggled a little on the back nine but held on and tied the Maryville Women's all time scoring record for 18 holes when she complete her round with a score of 84.

The Maryville women were playing as individuals with only three players due to the illness of junior Megan Lee. Edmiston's 84 along with her opening round 88 gave her a two day total of 172.

Other Maryville Scores were: Senior Alyse Ray 98-89=187 and Sophomore Mallory Kirkland 97-91=188.

The Scots will be out of action until October 3-4 when they will be playing in the Berry College, Chick-Fil-A Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, GA.
