Rodgers Named Top Defensive USA South Rookie

MARYVILLE -- For the third consecutive week the USA South Athletic Conference has honored Maryville College's Kendyhl Rodgers for his outstanding play as the league's rookie defensive player of the week.
The freshman defensive back from Dundee, Florida tallied six tackles and one interception in a 42-20 win over USA South foe Greensboro. Rodgers accumulated three solo tackles and three assisted take downs. He returned his lone interception 18 yards and added a pass breakup in the victory.
Also nominated were Bryan Bing, Methodist and Ervin Brown, Averett.
