Scots roll past Salem 84-35

MARYVILLE -- The Maryville College Lady Scots rolled to their sixth consecutive victory with an 84-35 win over Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Sunday afternoon.

MC held the Spirits to a 25% shooting effort and allowed only 17 first half points to the GSAC squad. The Scots shot 65% in the second half and pulled away with the conference road win.

MC's Janell Menard went 8-for-11 from the floor including a 4-for-5 effort from beyond the arc for a game-high 20 points while freshman Martha Webb added 10 points after going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Tara Heyboer led MC on the boards with six rebounds while Lauren Burnett added five boards and a game-high six assists.

Maryville (17-6, 13- GSAC) will conclude their home schedule on Wednesday when they host Wesleyan College. The 6:00 tip-off will also be a national cancer awareness game supporting the Kay Yow Breast Cancer Foundation.
