Good Morning East Tennessee!

It's Wednesday. Yesterday was one of the busiest days in the Knoxville Daily Sun's history. The news, ideas, phones calls, leads, and changes in scheduling came at an incredible rate. In one day I filled almost every day of my calendar for the rest of January and the entire month of February.

It's all about courage, open-mindedness, multi-tasking, inspiration, and art, but even above that it's about listening to the readers and being able to walk in your shoes.

Some of you know I had spent a few days up north in DC, Baltimore and parts of New Jersey. At the same time the publisher was at Lake Tahoe. Due to incredible leaps in communications and technology, we were able to take care of business as usual; however, the day we both returned the level and pace of work took on a whole new level and production rate. At the same time the quality of the work increased even more. The issue was - we both returned with a refreshed new insight mixed with brand new experiences and ideas. Combine all of that with some well deserved sleep, and you're prepared to conquer the world.

Needless to say the traffic and the feedback told the story and, as usual, kept us inspired. Yesterday was a record-breaking day for The Knoxville Daily Sun. As I write this, I have the stats open on another window. How could anyone not be proud?

We started with the philosophy that you were looking for something different, then we did the research, we stuck to our guns and we "went for it."

It's tempting to share our formula, but I'm not here to feed our competition. I will say we will continue, every single day and do whatever it takes to give you what you're looking for. <--It's a promise.

Have a great day!
