Good Morning East Tennessee!

The most popular dog names are:
Sam
Max
Lady
Bear
Maggie
Tasha
Chelsea
Holly
Sasha
Brandie

I've been considering getting my dog (Jack) a companion so the whole topic of pets and dogs, dog names, finding the right dog, etc. has been at the top of my list.

One of the of problems is: I didn't know how Jack would like the idea. After spending some time at my niece's house and watching her dog and my dog play for hours, I decided it was the right thing to do.

Another issue is: I don't know how the new dog is going to like the idea. Jack is going to want to be the leader and show the new member of our family how everything is done. Dogs are pack animals, and my dog is well aware that I'm the pack leader. I also know him well enough to know that he's not going to be last in line.

Another major issue is: I can't handle the animal shelter. It might sound like "no big deal" to someone else, but it breaks my heart to go in there. It's too much for me and when I leave I can't leave it behind. I'm depressed for days and I'm angry at all the irresponsible people who let this happen.

If I hit the lottery (I don't even play the lottery) I would go to the Humane Society, adopt every single animal, hire a vet who does house calls to work their magic and cut them all loose on 100 acres of fenced-in property.

I know - I'd be doing a lot of scooping, getting cats out of trees and breaking up fights, but still -- can you think of a more rewarding way to spend the next 15 years of your life? The animals would win, The Humane Society would win, and you would win.

Have a great day!
