National Award Winning Author, Rick Yancey - Yancey will be reading from his newest series, The Monstrumologist. Knox County Public Library and UT's Center for Children's and Young Adult Literature host this event at Lawson McGhee Library. Free and open to the public. 865-215-8750

Wednesday, March 2
Jazz Lunch with the Don Hough Octet - The concert features the music of "cool jazz" saxophonist and arranger Dave Pell. The performance will highlight several important arrangements from his collection of work. / The Square Room 4 Market Square Building in the Historic Market Square District. Doors open at 11:30. Show starts at Noon.

Thursday, March 3
Drumline Live / College marching bands perform from Florida A&M University, Tennessee State University, Southern University, Miles College, South Carolina State University, Winston-Salem State University, Morris Brown College and Norfolk State University perform at Tennessee Theatre. Show starts at 7:30PM

Friday, March 4
Knoxville Ice Bears host Huntsville Havoc at Knoxville Civic Coliseum. Puck drops at 7:30PM

Saturday, Feb 5
Annual Love your Libraries Fun Run - 5k run through the roads of UT campus to raise money for UT Libraries. Race begins at 8:30AM
4th Annual Mardi Growl - If you love animals don't miss this "Mardi Gras Type parade and festival" with live music food, costumes and many smiling pet-loving people. Parade Line-up is at the corner of Summit Hill Drive & Central Avenue at 11:00AM. Festival location: Market Square at noon.

Sunday, March 6
Opera Highlights - Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra will be performing at Bijou Theatre at 2:30 PM.
