Local Church Goes Mobile...Literally

KNOXVILLE -- The Point App on iPhone, ipad, & Android Market Place takes the church to people on the go.

With half of all data usage coming from mobile devices one church decided it was time to take the church mobile. Last week The Point launched a new app on the iphone, ipad, and android marketplace.

"The goal was simple to take the church to the people," said Matt Peeples Lead Pastor of The Point.

The Point's goal in making the app was simple -- give people a tool to help them grow in their faith. The app features audio teachers from The Point, an entire Bible, Bible reading plans, and other resources to help people.

Since its inception in August 2010 The Point has tried to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Every Sunday they invite people to pull out their phones and text in their questions during every service. Every service ends with an anonymous question and answer session built on the questions that where texted in.

For The Point, going mobile was the next logical step.

The app can be downloaded from the app store on iPhone, iPad, or Android Market. Search "the point knox" then download the free app.
