TDCI releases Disciplinary Action Report, March 2019


Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance released its disciplinary action report for March, 2019. Knoxville individuals and businesses on the list include:

Accounting:
Kroeger‐Miller, CPA, Knoxville; Issuance of a review prior to enrolling in peer review; $1,000 civil penalty

Helios Financial Consulting, Blaine; Issuing review report while not registered as accounting firm and failure to enroll in peer review; $1,000 civil penalty plus enrollment in peer review and completion of ethics course

Architects & Engineers:
Charles M. Coones, Knoxville; Failure to consider health, safety, and welfare of public by not timely producing a written report; $500 civil penalty

Contractors:
Lewelling Excavating & Construction, Corryton; Failure to respond to customer inquiries regarding completion of work; $1,000 civil penalty

Motor Vehicle:
Smartcar Motors, LLC, Seymour; Failure to use rebuilt disclosure form; $500 civil penalty

Real Estate:
Ann Katherine Richards, Knoxville; Failure to exercise reasonable skill and care; 4 hours of continuing education specific to contracts

Leigh Burch, Knoxville; Unlicensed activity; $2,000 civil penalty
