Grove’s primary duties involve educational outreach for public and private audiences in Tennessee and beyond and providing technical guidance to TWRA wildlife health programs. This position will allow Grove to address and mitigate diseases that affect wildlife, domestic animals and humans such as chronic wasting disease, avian influenza and white-nose syndrome among others.

“It is a unique opportunity to combine the resources of TWRA and UT Extension to meet the current and future needs facing wildlife health. This position will, hopefully, help fill in the gaps when it comes to knowledge and information regarding wildlife health and the issues surrounding wildlife disease and domestic animal health, human health and environmental health,” says Grove.
