Abby Ham, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s team up to build home
Knoxville Habitat for Humanity and Lowe’s celebrated National Women Build Week by kicking off construction of a new home for future homeowner Kendra. Kendra is a Certified Nursing Assistant raising her three children in a tiny two-bedroom home that’s in desperate need of repairs. KNOXVILLE – Broadcast personality Abby Ham and volunteers joined Knoxville Habitat for Humanity during the first build day of National Women Build Week. Lowe’s helped launch National Women Build Week to empower women to advocate for affordable housing and spotlight the homeownership challenges faced by many. This year, more than 17,000 women including Lowe’s Heroes volunteers from across the country, are expected to volunteer at construction sites as part of Habitat’s 2017 National Women Build Week.
