KNOXVILLE — Hank Champion has joined FMB Advertising as Creative Director. He brings decades of experience in creative direction, art direction and copy writing for some of Madison Avenue’s most prestigious agencies, including Young & Rubicam, Campbell Mithun and BBDO.
Champion has worked on both national and international accounts, notably McDonald’s, AT&T, and United Way. He earned multiple AdWeek Online “Ad of the Week” honors on behalf of General Mills.
A graduate of Auburn University, Champion holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts with a concentration in graphic design. He comes to FMB from Jacksonville, Florida, where he worked with Zaxby’s, Florida Lottery and The Jacksonville Jaguars. He eventually opened his own consulting firm that focused on brand development and creative ideas.
As creative director, Champion plays a lead role in the marketing, creative, communication and digital realms of FMB Advertising, setting a vision for clients’ brands. In his spare time, the native of Birmingham, Alabama, is busy exploring Knoxville.
“I love the beauty of Knoxville and its charm as a Southern town,” he said. “There is so much creativity and the people are incredibly friendly.”
“As an Auburn alumnus, I like the fact that just about everyone here seems to hate Alabama football as much as I do,” he joked.
FMB is a marketing strategy, brand development and digital media agency serving an international client base from its headquarters on the historic 100 block of South Gay Street. For more information, visit engagefmb.com.
