Knox County lawyer censured
OCTOBER 26, 2016 at 12:34 p.m.
KNOXVILLE -- On October 25, 2016, Chadwick Barry Tindell, an attorney in Knoxville, received a Public Censure from the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
According to the Board, Tindell demonstrated a lack of competence and diligence by repeatedly violating procedural rules and filing requirements when representing debtors in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding.
Tindell violated Rules of Professional Conduct 1.1 (competence) and 1.3 (diligence).
A Public Censure is a rebuke and warning to the attorney, but it does not affect the attorney’s ability to practice law.
