King Family Library taking recyclables for Keep Sevier Beautiful



SEVIERVILLE, TN — The King Family Library in downtown Sevierville is accepting recyclables that Keep Sevier Beautiful will use for the upcoming Wears Valley Fall Fest which will be held October 16-18, 2015. The festival will include an antique car and tractor display, arts and crafts, food, children’s activities, live demonstrations, and other entertainment. Admission will be free.

The mission of Keep Sevier Beautiful is to motivate and educate Sevier County residents and guests to take greater responsibility for improving the community's environment. Keep Sevier Beautiful focuses on litter prevention, waste reduction and recycling, beautification, and community greening. Each of these efforts will be showcased through the educational programming during the Wears Valley Fall Fest, both for demonstrations and crafts that young visitors can take home.

Keep Sevier Beautiful is in need of the following items:

• Bean bags
• CDs or DVDs
• Black & red felt
• Milk jugs – Plastic ½ gallon or gallon jugs (please rinse out)
• Wooden paint sticks – Unused
• Pipe cleaners – Brown & black
• Plastic water bottles – any type
• 2-liter soda bottles – any type (please rinse out)
• Plastic lids – all sizes & shapes
• Seed catalogues & gardening magazines
• Tin cans – food cans of all sizes including large #10 (Please rinse out; no sharp edges)
• Toilet paper & paper towel rolls
• Twisty ties (bread ties, bag ties, etc.)
• Wall calendars
• Yarn – all colors & textures

These items can be placed in the donation boxes at the King Family Library, 408 High Street in Sevierville until August 17. Amanda Plante, Executive Director, Keep Sevier Beautiful said, “We are abundantly grateful to the members of the community who will take the time to rinse the materials listed and drop them off at the collection areas at the King Family Library before August 17.”
