According to the National Weather Service, a strong upper level storm system will move across the Appalachians late Friday through Saturday. The storm will move across the Western Carolinas into the Great Smoky Mountains and the Tennessee Valley with an expected accumulation of 14 inches of snow in the higher elevations.
