KNOXVILLE – Smile180, a new philanthropic initiative of Delta Dental of Tennessee, has provided a grant of $75,584 to InterFaith Health Clinic in Knoxville. The donation also provides a one-year supply of oral hygiene items for the clinic’s patients, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss and oral hygiene rinses.
The InterFaith Health Clinic is a non-profit health care ministry in Knoxville, Tennessee providing affordable medical care, dental care, and mental health counseling and prescription medications for the working uninsured.
“This grant has significantly impacted the care of our patients. Because of the new equipment we were able to purchase with the grant, our time is now wholly dedicated to patient care and not halted due to repairs,” said Melissa Knight, executive director, InterFaith Health Clinic. “We are so grateful because this relationship with Delta Dental has also afforded us the opportunity to expand the number of people served each year. You can’t ask for more, the opportunity to be improve efficiency and expand the number of lives impacted.”
