Free house cleaning services offered to local women battling cancer

Two Maids & A Mop, a local residential house cleaning company, has announced that it has partnered with Cleaning For A Reason to provide free house cleaning services to any woman that is undergoing cancer treatment.

“My family experienced the cancer battle first hand several years ago. Every single day was a battle and the new normal did not include worrying about vacuums or dust mops,” said Ron Holt of Two Maids & A Mop. “My mother was forced to enlist the help of family members and neighbors because so many people visited the home on a daily basis. It was a very difficult time that could have been made easier with the free services offered by Cleaning For A Reason.”

Two Maids & A Mop originally partnered with The Cleaning for a Reason foundation in 2005 and has since donated more than $200,000 in free services to more than 500 women with cancer. The company was awarded the prestigious 2012 National Maid Service of the Year award by the Cleaning For A Reason Foundation last year.

“Our goal is to make someone’s life easier. There’s enough to worry and stress about during this battle. Our employees love this charity and they all want to be the ones to provide the free service to our patients. It’s a tremendous honor to provide this service and make a small difference in someone’s life,” said Holt.

To receive the free service, you must submit a quick online application on the Cleaning For A Reason website at cleaningforareason.org. The application can be submitted by the cancer patient or a friend or family member. After the patient’s information is verified, Two Maids & A Mop will contact them to schedule the free cleaning services. A patient can receive up to four free cleanings once per month.
