6 Knoxville lawyers selected for leadership program


NASHVILLE, TN — Six Knoxville lawyers have been selected to participate in the Tennessee Bar Associations 2014 Leadership Law program. They are:

• Amanda Busby, Anderson Busby PLLC
• Stephanie Coleman, Robertson Overbey Wilson & Beeler
• Kristi Davis, Hodges Doughty & Carson PLLC
• Nathaniel Evans, Bernstein Stair & McAdams LLP
• Ian Hennessey, London & Amburn PC
• Paul Whitt, Lewis King Krieg & Waldrop PC

Now in its 11th year, the Leadership Law program is designed to equip Tennessee lawyers with the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and local communities.

This year's class of 33 attorneys -- chosen from across the state -- will meet for its first session in January, and then spend the next six months learning about leadership in the legal profession, issues in the courts, policymaking in state government and the importance of community service.

The Tennessee Bar Association (TBA) is the largest professional association in Tennessee with more than 12,000 members. Founded in 1881, the TBA provides opportunities for continuing legal education, professional development and public service. The TBA's dedication to serving the state's legal community is evidenced by its membership roll, which represents the entire spectrum of legal practice: plaintiff and defense lawyers, corporate counsel, judges, prosecutors, public defenders, government lawyers and legal services attorneys.
