KNOXVILLE -- The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the man who robbed the First Tennessee Bank on Monday, December 5.
The suspect entered the First Tennessee Bank located at 3900 Western Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee at approximately 2:45 p.m., displayed a note, demanded money, and reached across the counter and took money from the teller area.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, age 20-25, approximately 5'4"-5'6" tall, with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat with "CAL" on the front, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a dark-colored vest and black jeans.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot and entered a mid-1990s burgundy-colored sedan.
