City of Pigeon Forge was Figured Wrong
On February 28, 2011 we ran a story about allegations against the City of Pigeon Forge.
It has been brought to our attention that City Manager, Earlene Teaster, did not receive a Christmas bonus in the amount of $15,000. The amount actually received was $13,000.
It was also brought to our attention that USDM's original contract with the City was only $2 million, not $3.5 million and that the additional monies were paid over a period of time for various services.
Our information had been published based upon information provided to us by unnamed sources who indicate they had given us ballpark figures.
We sincerely apologize for these errors in specificity.
