At approximately 6:02 p.m. on January 14, the suspect entered the Clayton Bank & Trust located at 11820 Kingston Pike in Knoxville, brandished a black semi-automatic pistol, and verbally demanded money. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, in his late 50s to early 60s, with a medium build, between 6' and 6'1" tall, weighing approximately 180 to 200 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black Balacava face mask and a black, zip-up, hoodie-style jacket with the hood pulled up. Additionally, he was wearing dark colored pants, white tennis shoes, and black leather gloves.

After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect placed the money into a black garbage bag and fled the scene on foot. A reward is being offered for any information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to please call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or the KCSO at 865-215-2243. This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI SSTF (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and the KCSO Major Crimes Unit.
