Rural Health Association of Tennessee to hold Town Hall Forum

GREENVILLE, TN – The Rural Health Association of TN (RHAT) invites residents of local communities to a town hall meeting on rural health issues. The meeting will take place on March 23, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. EST on the Tusculum College Campus in Greeneville, TN.

The town meeting will focus on rural health concerns in East TN and will challenge community members to discuss the issues in our community and how we can work to improve them.

The town hall meeting is part of an ongoing public engagement campaign by RHAT, a state wide organization dedicated to effect a positive change in the health and well-being of all rural Tennesseans. “The upcoming town hall forum is the latest in a series of efforts underway to generate meaningful dialogue in our community on what people want and need when it comes to rural healthcare for themselves and their loved ones,” said Kathy Atwood, RHAT Past-President. “If we can get people talking about healthcare concerns, they will be better prepared to make critical decisions for themselves, their families and friends.”

The Rural Health Association of Tennessee is a non-profit organization of more than 600 individuals and organizations committed to improving the health of rural Tennesseans through, advocacy, communication, education and legislation. The organization was formed in 1994 when Tennessee’s rural health leaders agreed that there was a need to develop a statewide grassroots organization that would give exclusive attention to rural health issues and speak with a strong, unified voice.
