Professional freestyle kayaker and Tennessee native, Dane Jackson is returning home this May to help clean up the rivers that made him into a world class talent who’s had over 80 first-place finishes including the Whitewater Grand Prix, IFC Freestyle World Championships and Green Race River Narrows Race in North Carolina. The weekend of May 26, Dane will be joined by SA Raft, Dirt Bag Paddlers, and the Appalachian Paddling Enthusiasts (APEs) as well as local paddlers and volunteers on a two-day trip to clean up a local waterway in his home state of Tennessee.

Day one will be all work as Dane and the team of volunteers clean up the river. If last year’s “Spring Cleaning” was any indication, Dane and the crew will remove countless tires as well as loose metal, glass, and bottles that have been sitting in the river all the way back to the 1960’s. On Sunday, May 27 Dane and the volunteers will take advantage of the newly cleaned river for a day of kayaking.
