Country music duo, The Young Fables, to headline An Evening of Hope benefiting Helen Ross McNabb Center

MORRISTOWN, TN — The Helen Ross McNabb Center will bring a night of country music and hope to Hamblen County with the 2016 An Evening of Hope at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, at Morristown-Hamblen High School West. Guests will be treated to performances by The Young Fables and up-and-coming artist, Natalia Taylar. Lewell Molen of East Tennessee’s WDVX will emcee the event.

The Young Fables country music duo is composed of Laurel Wright and Wes Lunsford. Laurel is a native of East Tennessee, who at age 16 became the youngest winner of the Texaco Country Showdown. She was a semi-finalist on seasons 13 and 14 of American Idol and appeared on American Idol: The Farewell Season. Wes is a talented guitar player and songwriter who is also a native East Tennessean. They have opened for country music artists Sara Evans, Randy Houser, Scotty McCreery, The Band Perry, Joe Nichols and more.

The event is presented by Citizen Tribune, and proceeds will benefit Helen Ross McNabb Center’s services provided in Hamblen County and the Lakeway region, including: Youth Emergency Shelter (YES), a temporary home that provides a bed, food, clothing, hygiene care, safety education and counseling for children who need immediate care; New Hope Recovery, which provides alcohol and drug intensive outpatient treatment for adolescents and adults; and mental health care for children, adults and families.
