"Fire on the Ground" by Nathaniel Galka

KNOXVILLE – The Arts & Culture Alliance will present a new group exhibition in the Balcony of the Emporium Center featuring seven regional artists beginning on First Friday:

• Pamela Neal Almeling (Knoxville) - Contemporary abstract impressionist paintings;

• Terrie Boruff-Yeatts (Knoxville) - Oil paintings that revisit the characters of Alice in Wonderland;

• Tony Henson (Kingsport) - Abstract paintings that express emotion through liquid color, movement, and texture;

• Chuck Jensen (Crossville) – Large, abstract paintings featuring vibrant acrylic colors;

• Barry McManus (Louisville) – Serious, humorous, and varied photographic tryptichs.

• Sue Messer (Dandridge) - Oil, watercolor and acrylic works featuring the Great Smoky Mountains;

• Jalyn B. Weston (Sweetwater) - A depiction of the dreams of a future paleontologist.

The group exhibition will be displayed from January 6-27, 2011. The Emporium Center is located at 100 S. Gay Street, downtown Knoxville.
