Indoor Sculpture Exhibit, Nexus, Showcases Artists

KNOXVILLE -– The Dogwood Arts Festival's premier indoor sculpture exhibit, Nexus, is showcasing regional and national artists working in the field of contemporary sculpture. Small sculptures encompassing all styles and genres from emerging and established artists are displayed in this exhibition at the Emporium Center for the Art's Main Gallery, 100 South Gay Street, through April 21, 2011.

The juror for the Nexus exhibition is John Henry, an internationally celebrated sculptor known for his contributions to public art. Henry has selected the sculptures to be displayed and presented exhibition awards at the First Friday opening ceremony at the Emporium Center on April 1.

The sculptors featured in the indoor exhibition are Robmat Butler, Bill Cook Jr., Claire Evans, Annamaria Gundlach, Ray Katz, Jan Kransberger, David Marquez, David Reeves, Steve Rhule, Victor Schmidt, Steven Swenor, Durant Thompson and Carl Wade.
