The Arts & Culture Alliance presented twice as many awards as in years past. "The Arts & Culture Alliance is first and foremost a membership organization," says Executive Director Liza Zenni. "Because we received such an increase in artwork submissions, we brought in more money than we originally budgeted for, so we were able to pass that money on to the artists in the form of more awards."

The National Juried Exhibition welcomed nearly 400 entries from 100 artists in ten states.

The reception on Friday, January 6, is free and open to the public.

The National Juried Exhibition of 2011 is on display through January 27, 2012 at the Emporium Center, 100 S. Gay Street, downtown Knoxville. Exhibition hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with additional hours on Saturday, January 7, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The Emporium will be closed December 22 – January 1.
