Episcopal School of Knoxville to Host Open House

The Episcopal School of Knoxville will host an admissions Open House Night for all grades on Thursday, Jan. 20., from 6-8 p.m. The event replaces a Jan. 11 Open House rescheduled due to icy weather.

Parents can tour classrooms and meet teachers, school administrators, and current students and their parents. Facilities include the 22,000 square foot Brewington Family Lower School opened in August and Googe Hall, the 22,000 square foot Middle School completed three years ago.

Episcopal School Headmaster Jay Secor, Assistant Headmaster Peter Klekamp, and Lower School Director Nancy Laurence will be on hand. Parents may bring children or come alone. No reservations are required.

Now in its 13th year, the K-8 school has 320 students. It offers an interdisciplinary curriculum, daily chapel, three foreign languages, a range of courses in the arts and a full sports program. Distinctive programs include weekly classes for all students with the school guidance counselor and use of the nationally acclaimed Tribes community building process.

The nationally accredited Episcopal School is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools and offers a faith-based environment, but actively seeks children of all faiths and backgrounds.
