Put the Annual Used Book Sale on Your Calendar!

If you're looking to add books to your personal library, get ready for the Annual Used Book Sale on Saturday, March 5 through Saturday, March 12. The event, held by the Knox County Public Library (Friends), will be at the Knoxville Convention and Exposition Center at the Holiday Inn on the World's Fair Park.

Most hard covers for adults will sell for $2; paperbacks will be $1 or less. Hard covers for children will cost $1; board books and paperbacks will be 50 cents or less. The book sale also includes a wide selection of affordable movies, magazines, music and a rare and special collection.

All proceeds of the sale benefit the Knox County Public Library. The book sale is one of many activities that highlight the mission of the Friends to encourage a love of books, reading, and libraries across the community. The Friends have supported the Knox County Public Library and its patrons for over 40 years with financial support for children, teen and adult programs, events and materials, and professional development opportunities for staff.

- The first day of the sale, Saturday, March 5, is reserved for members of the Friends. (Annual dues will be accepted at the door.) - From Sunday, March 6 through Saturday, Mary 12, the event will be open to the public. - During the week special prices are extended to all shoppers. - On Tuesday and Wednesday, the purchase of four books earns one free book of the same price. - Items are half-price on Thursday and Friday. - Shoppers can enjoy the $3 per bag or $5 per box bargains on Saturday, March 12.
