Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite National Forest. Image by Jeaneane Payne
Bridalveil Fall is called Pohono, "spirit of the puffing wind," by the Ahwahneechee. The falling water is blown from
side to side by wind swirls about the cliff causing the water to fall in a delicate free-fall.
Bridalveil Fall is the height of a 62-story building. |
