Mary Brown named branch manager at Highland Union Banks, Sevierville

SEVIERVILLE — Well-loved Sevier County native Mary Brown has been named assistant vice president and branch manager for Highlands Union Bank’s Veterans Boulevard office in Sevierville. Currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, Highlands Union Bank is a community banking system that serves parts of Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Brown will oversee all personnel, banking transactions and community outreach, and perform loan transactions at the Veterans Boulevard office, located at 1824 Veterans Boulevard. Chad McFall, who previously served as branch manager and vice president of commercial lending at the Veterans Boulevard branch, will continue to serve as vice president of commercial lending at the same location. In addition, McFall will coordinate commercial lending for Highlands Union Bank’s branches at 113 Hardin Lane in Sevierville and at 7570 Mountain Grove Drive in Knoxville.

“Mary fully understands HUB's client-focused approach, and I know our Sevierville customers will appreciate her expertise and depth of knowledge,” says Highlands Union Bank President and CEO Sam Neese. ”She is a dedicated banking professional who always puts the customer first, and we are fortunate to have someone of her caliber working with us.”

Brown is a 34-year veteran of the banking industry in Sevier County and has served as a relationship manager, branch manager, loan officer, loan assistant and teller. She attended Sevier County High School and is a graduate of Knoxville Business College and the Southeastern School of Banking.

Brown is a longtime member of the Pigeon Forge Rotary Club, where she has served as treasurer and president, has twice been named Rotarian of the Year, has received the J. Pritchard Barnes Community Service award, and has been named a Paul Harris Fellow. She is vice president of the Forever Parks Foundation and treasurer of the Friends of the Pigeon Forge Public Library. She is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Sevier.

A resident of Sevierville, Brown has a daughter, Rachel Brown Parton, two sons, William and David, and three grandchildren.
